NuVal Nutrition Training
The Michigan Diabetes Prevention Program is partnering with the Meijer Healthy Living team to get the word out about the NuVal nutrition scoring system being used at all Meijer stores. A free instructor training gives community instructors all the tools needed to share the information with clients in the community.

Mission
The Prevention Workgroup exists to promote statewide prevention of diabetes and diabetes complications with all stakeholders (such as legislators, consumers, health care providers, etc).
Vision
The Prevention Workgroup will work toward establishing understanding of Diabetes and its burden in key decision makers.

Please contact Pat Huhn for information on upcoming meetings. In months when a DPAC Full Membership meeting is scheduled (twice each year), the workgroup will meet during the afternoon of that meeting.
